But zoom in one level further and it gets even more interesting: a drugstore in Nagoya isn’t that different from one in Osaka, but the supermarket snack, the coffee shop custom, or the small daily habit that’s completely normal in one prefecture and unheard of in the next—that’s where each region’s real character shows up.
